What is a Holding?

To buy precious metals with GoldMoney, you first need to open a Holding, which is the digital customer file where the ownership of your metal and your transactions are recorded.

Using precious metals to protect your company

Buying precious metals from GoldMoney is not only an interesting opportunity for individuals. Companies can also benefit from the wealth preserving properties of precious metals.

GoldMoney welcomes applications from all types of corporate entities provided that the applicant meets certain registration and verification requirements and that the company is incorporated in one of the countries listed below.

Security and integrity

As a company regulated by the Jersey Financial Services Commission, GoldMoney complies with anti-money laundering legislation, which requires GoldMoney to confirm the identity and residential address of each of its customers. We make use of a Customer Acceptance Policy (CAP) to ensure the security and integrity of the GoldMoney system. More information about the CAP can be found in our CAP FAQ.

How to Sign Up

The sign-up process for corporate applicants requires the completion of the CAP for Companies Registration Form (Letter-size format or A4 format), where information is provided about the company, including the nature of its business, its controllers and the expected use of the company's Holding with GoldMoney. Once completed, please email the form to inbox@goldmoney.com. GoldMoney would recommend that you do not provide any certified/notarised documentation at this point.

The GoldMoney Verification Team will then review your CAP for Companies Registration Form and contact you to confirm the additional requirements regarding the establishment of your Corporate Holding.

Please note that a processing fee of £500 may be charged in order to establish the Holding. You will be notified if this fee is applicable once the GoldMoney Verification Team have reviewed your CAP for Companies Registration Form.
