Independent Vault Verification

Inspectorate is a leading commodity inspection and testing company and part of the Bureau Veritas Group, a global certification company.

Each quarter, Inspectorate counts all of the gold, platinum and palladium bars and a sample of the silver bars, and also weighs a selection of bars of each metal, to confirm the vault reports generated by VIA MAT, Brink's, Rhenus and G4S are accurate. The results of this bar count and weight sampling are then published in a report by Inspectorate, which confirms that the vault records produced by VIA MAT, Brink's, Rhenus and G4S match the results of their inspection.

Should any anomaly be detected we will correct it afterwards. We also investigate them all together with the vault operator in order to identify the underlying cause and to assess whether any process controls need to be revised or strengthened.

Once the accuracy of the vault inventory reports has been established, the final step in confirming the one-to-one ratio of customer metal involves independent third-party verification of GoldMoney's database records and the controls around them.
